NodeKit, a key player in blockchain solutions, has revealed a strategic alliance with NEAR Protocol to integrate NEAR’s Data Availability (DA) solutions into its composability layer. The primary aim of this partnership is to boost the interoperability and efficiency of rollups and specialized blockchain networks through streamlined synchronous cross-chain communication.
This collaboration between NodeKit and NEAR Protocol empowers developers to construct rollups on the composability layer and seamlessly integrate NEAR DA into their frameworks. This integration broadens the capabilities of rollups, enabling customization of all aspects of their technology stack while preserving autonomy and self-governance.
NEAR DA makes use of Nightshade, an advanced component of NEAR’s consensus mechanism, to enhance network performance. Nightshade enhances efficiency by dispersing operations across multiple shards, each responsible for processing a segment of a block. These shards are then merged to create a complete block, simplifying the process for chains managing high transaction volumes. This sharding approach not only speeds up transaction processing but also offers a cost-efficient method to ensure data availability.
