However, the severe flooding in the host city led to the suspension of the program. The organizers were unprepared for such a situation, as all routes to the venue were inaccessible.

To alleviate attendees’ disappointment and express gratitude for their understanding, the organizers issued a statement assuring participants of their efforts to ensure a comfortable experience at the event. They also refuted rumors about an airdrop giveaway for attendees, cautioning against fraudulent schemes circulating online. As the roads gradually reopened and weather conditions improved, the Blockchain Life team confirmed the resumption of the event on Wednesday, April 17, urging attendees to proceed to the location. They advised VIP ticket holders to retain their wristbands for access to the VIP Lounge.

The flooding incident in Dubai, attributed to cloud seeding, also affected TOKEN2049, another cryptocurrency event scheduled until April 21 in the city. Despite the initial disruption, the organizers announced the event’s continuation, sharing a weather forecast indicating clear skies in the coming days.
