Frankfurt am Main – Miles & More, the loyalty program of the Lufthansa Group, recently announced that it is continuing its strategy of expanding its partner network. By partnering with qiibee, the leading blockchain-based B2B marketplace for customer loyalty, small and medium-sized businesses can now easily join the program. For Miles & More members, this expansion means access to a wider and more diverse range of partners, including on a regional level, where they can earn and redeem miles throughout the travel chain and in everyday life with partners such as the luxury fashion platform fashionette.de, the VIP hospitality marketplace DAIMANI and the Swiss-based digital asset wallet SwissFortress.

Effortless integration through blockchain technology

Within the Miles & More program, qiibee will create customized and attractive marketing packages for SMEs. Through their platform, prospective companies can effortlessly initiate a collaboration. Since qiibee’s marketplace is built on the qiibee rewards chain, the loyalty rewards generated through these partnerships benefit from decentralized validation and storage. Compared to traditional loyalty reward programs, this technological integration eliminates the cost of reconciliation between partners, creating a stronger connection between companies and their customers. In addition to the enhanced interchangeability offered by a single, decentralized loyalty ecosystem, qiibee will oversee the contractual, commercial, technical and promotional management of these partnerships.

Other partners that will be seamlessly connected to Miles & More via the qiibee marketplace include the Tanzanian coffee specialty Edelweiss Coffee, Zurich’s largest furniture store and online retailer Schubiger Möbel, the crowd investment platform Conda.ch, and the successful family-run eyewear retailer Brillen.de. In the future, qiibee will focus on expanding its ecosystem by onboarding more partners and launching a Shopify plugin for SMEs to connect to Miles & More without integration, making qiibee’s offerings more accessible.

Johann-Philipp Bruns, Managing Director of Miles & More GmbH and responsible for Retail & Sales, said: “The partnership is a win-win situation for everyone. We expand our partner network with exciting and diverse companies. They in turn gain access to our members and thus to another demanding target group in the premium segment, who will be rewarded for their loyalty in the future. By involving local partners, the program becomes even more relevant to everyday life and offers our members even more opportunities to earn and redeem award miles.

Gabriele Giancola, co-founder and CEO of qiibee, said, “The qiibee blockchain is 100% focused on the needs of the loyalty market, with instant, low-cost transactions and full control over data privacy. We are proud to present this unique offering to our first partners, and look forward to future collaborations between numerous new partners and Miles & More. This will further position our technology as the industry standard for Web3 loyalty partnerships.

Anja Rodionova, Head of Marketing at fashionette, said: “As part of the Miles & More partner network, we’re delighted to be able to reach Lufthansa passengers and potential customers. Fashionette, like Lufthansa, is committed to high quality and an excellent customer experience. Therefore, we are confident that this cooperation is a perfect match.  In addition, qiibee makes the integration of Miles & More incredibly convenient for us, which made it an easy decision for us to join the cooperation.
