A cluster of fraudsters has purportedly funneled more than $1 million in illicitly obtained funds into the Base network to kickstart a fresh malevolent plot.

As per blockchain sleuth ZachXBT, this group has an extensive track record of initiating deceptive ventures that entice unwary investors, only to vanish suddenly with their investments.

Community Alert: The same group of scammers who pocketed significant sums with Magnate, Kokomo, Lendora, Solfire, among others, has resurfaced with a new venture called Blast @Leaperfinance

The latest tactic employed by the group entails shifting assets from an Ethereum address associated with previous scams, eventually transferring them to the Polygon network. Subsequently, they converted the funds into wrapped Ether (wETH) and traversed various blockchain bridges, such as Orbiter and Bungee, to reach the Blast network, a Layer-2 solution pioneered by Blur founder Tieshun Roquerre.

Update: It is highly probable that the same scammers are the masterminds behind @ZebraLending on Base, currently operational with a Total Value Locked (TVL) of $311K

If you have assets deposited in this platform, it is advisable to withdraw them promptly.
